About Luaus - Haleo Lu'au

A Big Island lu’au is a traditional Hawaiian feast with entertainment such as fireknife dancers and hula dancers. In Ancient Hawai’i similar celebrations were called ‘Aha ‘Aina and foods such as poi, pork and sweet potato were served. Only the men of royalty were allowed to attend any of these feasts until King Kamehameha II overturned the law of the land, and now Big Island luaus have evolved into celebrations that anyone can enjoy. The Haleo Lu’au in Kona is a great luau and one of the best Hawaii activities to enjoy. Enjoy the Haleo Luau at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa.
